How delighted we were to be part of the fairytale Danish wedding of Maria and Nicki. Maria and NickiThe theme for the occasion was black lace, red roses and a spash of bling, making our Shimmer stationery a perfect choice.

The attention to detail in planning this wedding is amazing. Everything was personalised, often including a custom monogram – the dress hangers, the candy bar, stationery, napkins, the cigar box to name but a few! Maria and her bridesmaidsMaria ordered black tank tops for the bridemsaids, mothers of the bride and groom and her gorgeous daughter who was flowergirl. The girls’ dressed and prepared for the wedding at the Reinhardt Dans studio, the family dance school where Maria met Nicki first met at just 12 years of age.

Maria’s dress was made by local Danish designer, Lasse Spangenberg, who also dressed the flowergirl. Her shoes by Manolo Blahnik. Nicki’s suit was by Cerutti 1881 and shoes by Louis Vuitton.Dress and shoesThe beautiful brideArriving in a horse and carriageThe ceremonyCapturing the significance and important dance has played in their lives, the girls at the school created an honorary arch of dancing shoes as the happy couple left the church. The newly wedsThe bridal partyMaria & NickiMaria & NickiThe reception was held in nothing less than the grand castle of Kokkedalslot. This is the romantic story behind the Sydney wedding of Linda and Ashton…

Three years ago, friends arranged a blind date to bring the two together. Set at a Paddington pub in Sydney amongst the comfort and safety of friends, a somewhat reluctant Linda arrived two hours late for an encounter that would change their lives forever.Lin and AshImmediately upon her arrival, Ashton confidently walked up to Linda, pulled her close and kissed her on lips without hesitation. In her own words “it took my breath away”.

Their meeting was like something out of a romantic Hollywood movie. Three weeks later, they moved in together. They were engaged 18 months after meeting and wed in February this year. Some things are clearly just meant to be!LindaLinda pre-weddingLinda and Ashton were married by celebrant Fiona Dacombe in an intimate ceremony held on the private luxurious property of dear friends, who proudly hosted the celebration. Both the ceremony and reception were held poolside, overlooking beautiful Pittwater. The venueThe gorgeous bouquets, boutonnieres, centrepieces and floral arrangements were supplied by White House Flowers with syling by Events by Nadia. Having been adopted by his Australian family as a baby, Ashton successfully sought his biological parents at the age of 22. The honeymoon was a wonderful opportunity to introduce them to his new bride.

They feel blessed to be surrounded by three beautiful and supportive families spanning the globe.

We sincerely thank Ash and Lin for sharing both their beautiful wedding day and story with us and wish them every happiness in their future together.
